How has the reaction been so far to your new album The Seeds of Disdain?  The reactions to the album are very good. Remember that only the single and a video clip is released, but not the album. In Spain, the reviews are good. It seems that even the supporter of Nox Interna quite like it.
La verdad es que ha sido muy buena, teniendo en cuenta que el disco aún no está a la venta y que solo hemos lanzado un single y un video clip. En España las críticas han sido buenas y parece que a los seguidores de Nox Interna les ha gustado bastante.

From the new album, the song "1984" is clearly about George Orwell's book of the same name. Do you feel his book is as relevant today as when it was written?  It's a great book. What interests me most is not the political content, but rather the subject that handels about the extermination of the way of free thinking society. It's clearly shown that the problem is not a revolution form the movement of a collective result that goes against the system. Rather, the rebellion occurs in each individual, as is the protagonist of the case. The questions continually turns over the manipulated reality in which he lives, what is the area of philosophy and more interested particularly.
Es un gran libro, aunque lo que me llamó la atención de él no fue el contenido político, si no la erradicación total del pensamiento libre de esa sociedad. Está claro y lo demuestra, que el problema de una revolución no es que sea el movimiento de un colectivo que lucha contra el sistema, si no que la rebelión comienza por cada se hace individuo , como es el caso del protagonista y las continuas preguntas que él mismo con respecto a la realidad manipulada en la que vive, y eso entra ya más en un terreno filosófico, que es realmente lo que a mí me interesa.

Of course, the world has changed and "1984" would not have the same reaction in these days as time back. There are many independent sources of information that would make any government control these exclusively. Phones, internet, etc. ... In the other hand, there are thousands of different statements of a same message, away from television news and newspaper, such as in the videos uploaded to YouTube, people experience a similar situation, for example.
Por supuesto el mundo ha cambiado, y "1984" a día de hoy no tendría la misma repercusión que tuvo hace años, dado que actualmente contamos con tantas fuentes de información independientes, que sería imposible de controlar por un gobierno. Me refiero a móviles, internet etc... hay miles de testimonios de una misma noticia fuera de los informativos y la prensa, como es el caso de los distintos videos que suben a youtube, personas que estás viviendo esa misma situación en directo, por ejemplo.

What other books do you like?  I couldn't name any specific books. I read a lot and I am particularly interested in doing contemporary hilosophy, neurology and psychiatry. Specifically, the reaction of the man and his reason.
No podría dar nombres ahora mismo, ya que son bastantes los que he leído, pero en general me interesa mucho la filosofía contemporánea, la neurología y la psiquiatría. Siempre busco la respuesta y el porqué de las reacciones del ser humano.

Nox Interna, for the most part, is a solo project and only plays as a band for concerts. Do you find it difficult to write and record music on your own without band members to help you?  Not at all... I don't find any difficulties in this, as Nox Interna has always been a project so personal, that's often been difficult to share with my former band mates.
No, la verdad es que no encuentro ninguna dificultad en ello, ya que Nox Interna es un proyecto tan personal que muchas veces ha sido difícil de compartir con mis antiguos compañeros de banda.
Do you have problems finding musicians to play with you when it comes to concerts?  Until now I had no problems, everything seems to go well.. Now I must be patient to look forward what the future brings.
Hasta la fecha no he tenido ningún problema para ello, todo parece ir bien, todo es cuestión de esperar para ver que me depara el futuro.

What's been your best and worst touring experience to date?  The best experience with Nox Interna are the many years that I spent with my former band mates. The most difficult thing was my decision to move to Berlin and therefore had to dissolve the band, because the former band members couldn't come with me.
La mejor experiencia que he tenido con Nox Interna sin duda ha sido compartir durante muchos años este proyecto con mis antiguos miembros de la banda. La más dura, cuando tomé la determinación de trasladarme a Berlín y ellos no me pudieron acompañar.

Most of your song lyrics are in English rather then Spanish which, according to your website, is due to a decision you made "to get closer to the public". Do you feel there's a lot of pressure on bands from non-English speaking countries to write and sing their songs in English?  I can only speak about my experience and not about the one of other bands. My first production was completely in Spanish, which I'm proud of. But when we went out to the European market, many of our supporters asked about the meaning of the lyrics. That's the reason why I'm using both languages in "Seeds of Disdain".
No podría hablar de los casos de otras bandas, solo del mío propio, ya que es el que he vivido. Mi primer disco está completamente en castellano y estoy orgulloso de ello, pero cuando salimos al mercado europeo muchos seguidores nuevos preguntaban por el significado de las letras, por eso me decanté por hacer una mezcla de ambos idiomas en "The Seeds Of Disdain"

Do you think that bands who don't sing in English don't do as well as those who do sing in English?  Absolutely not. What does the language in which you sing to do with the level or quality of the group?
Por supuesto que no, Que tiene que ver la lengua en la que canten con el nivel o la calidad del grupo?


Given the choice, would you rather sing in Spanish or English?  Today in English, because having less syllable words it's easier to make a nice rhythm to them.
A día de hoy en inglés, porque al tener palabras de menos silabas es más fácil hacer una rítmica bonita con ellas.
I don't discart the Castilian at all. I think each language has its pros and cons.
Pero no descarto el castellano, para nada cada lengua tiene sus pros y sus contras.

According to your website, you've been focusing on getting in on the German music industry. Why Germany in particular, as opposed to Europe as a whole or another country like France or Portugal?  The German music industry, concerning the style I do, is more developed than in my country, Spain, in which hardly any magazines or media exists. Of course I would like very much touring through all Europe, but better go step by step and German is a good country to start with everything.
La industria musical alemana en cuanto al estilo que yo hago está más desarrollada que en mi país, España, en el que apenas hay revistas o medios de difusión. Por supuesto me encantaría hacer giras por toda Europa, pero hay que ir poco a poco y Alemania es muy buen país para comenzar.

What does the future hold for Nox Interna? What plans do you have in the works?  The truth is that right now what I want most, is to perform live. It's been a long recording process of the album, I really miss going on stage. What comes next we'll see.
La verdad es que ahora mismo lo que más deseo es actuar en directo. Ha sido un proceso de composición tan largo el de este disco, que echo mucho de menos los escenarios. Lo que venga después ya se verá.
