Pascal Beniesch / [x]-Rx

"We are back! Protect your ears!" The Industrial-Rave God from Cologne is back!
[x]-Rx has been found by Pascal 'CyRex' Beniesch. The debut album "Unmöglich erregend" contained clubhits like "Feel The Fuckin'Bass" or "Die Sexualkiste der Hölle" that caused the Industrial-Rave-Revolution. The second album "Stage 2" came in 2009 - packed with clubtracks like "Tanz Schlampe" or "Stage 2" that kept the audience partying. 2010 the third longplayer is about to be released, titled "Update 3.0" Thirteen new dancefloor smasher will make your speakers burn and tear down your favourite club. "Push It" contains vocals by [x]-Rx for the very first time and will make you join in the chant. Following tradition and habit, the preacher is in on it, too. And last but not least, first time ever, remixes of [x]-Rx songs have been created by artists like Soman, SAM, Phosgore or Chainreactor.
The album is due to be released on the 9th of July. Busy times for [x]-Rx but Pascal found some time to talk to us! German interview below, the English version will follow in the next days.
Hello Pascal, please tell us a little bit about yourself...
Hello. I am Pascal Beniesch. I am 24 years old and I come from Cologne. I have been making music since the age of 12. At that time I started playing the electric guitar.
... and [x]-Rx ...
[x]-Rx began in late 2006 and has been a solo project ever since. I wanted to develop industrial club music combining it with lots of techno and hardstyle.
How are [x]-Rx songs being produced? What technology do you use?
[x]-Rx songs are being produced on the computer like all of today's electronic music. I myself run logic studio on the Mac and a combination of hardware and software synthesizers.
What is your inspiration?
Club culture and great movies. Sometimes also family and friends.
What instruments do you play?
I play the electric guitar, e-bass, keyboard, and I sing from time to time.
In July, the 3rd [x]-Rx album comes out. What can we expect?
13 phat, bass-packed club tracks at their finest. Also 5 remixes of other cool acts.

Reviewing the 3 albums - are there any significant differences? Who is/was responsible for the covers?
Of course, there have been changes. It's been 3 years since the first album. My skills got better, my studio bigger. The first album was a compilation of tracks of my starting time. The second was tailored throughout for the clubs. And now for my third album, I set high value on variety and my current personal taste in music. There are always different people responsible for the covers. The latest cover was done by a label colleague of mine.
I saw on the [x]-Rx Myspace site that you can be seen live two times in the next time, the Infest in Bradfort (UK) being one of them. This is not that far away from us. What can I do to make you come to Dublin? :)
Organise a cool party and hire us ;)
Can you think back to the first concert that you visited?
Well, my first concert... Let me think. I used to go to small gigs by unknown rock bands in youth centres.

Joking apart, we always want to get known more, continue producing CD's, sell them and perform on stage.
