This is the 2nd Hideous and Perfect Remix CD (original album released Sept 2009). There are 10 remixes and 3 new tracks. Angelspit are currently gigging in the UK and Ireland on their “Let Them Eat Distortion” tour. “We are hyped to brutalise the UK and Europe with our new brand of sonic mayhem!" says Zoog. “Carbon Beauty is an exercise in brutality. Angelspit is hell-bent on waking punk from its slumber”. Angelspit are often described as “Cyberpunk” or “Electropunk”. Now I like every type of music including EBM, Industrial, and Punk but personally I have to admit am not that fussed on all the songs on here. Sorry Angelspit fans.

The 3 newest tracks Glitchbomb, Like it? Lick it! And Toxic Girl sound too similar with biting lyrics almost shouted over jarring synths, guitar and drums. If you’ve listened to Hideous and Perfect then you’re already familiar with the original incarnations of the rest of the tracks. If you like those you will love these remixes. They all sound quite different on here - heavier and harsher.

The 2 standout tracks for me are: “Princess Chaos(Metafakt Remix)” – I’d be more than happy to throw myself round the dance floor to the pounding drumbeat, and distorted vocals. “Fink (Baal Remix)” – this is my favourite. It starts like the theme to a Sci Fi film, tribal drums kick in and finally yes... “Stomping Electro Daleks!” Well, that’s the image I have in my head every time I listen to it. I keep waiting for the “Exterminate” at the end.
