Collision Process is a quintet of musicians from the black heart of England who blend progressive technicality with a classic metal sensibility. Their debut has been around since September 2010 and recently has been followed up with the “Emperors” single.

The Collision Process EP kicks off with “Sleep now forever”, an onslaught of thrashed aggression which exhibits that these guys mean business and will take no prisoners. Synched twin leads would not be out of place in a mastodon composition and are evident throughout the EP. “Revelations “ is a proper headbanger. When the main riff launches, it sends you surfing on its very sound waves towards the weighty chorus. “Breaking Point” is their Annihilator-like shred fest. The clean vocals handled here by John Walters are stunning and offer the perfect Heaven vs. Hell contrast with Adam Cooper’s unholy growl. This combination of vocals works so well that many new bands on the scene would invade a small country to steal the chemistry of sound.

“Divide” closes the EP. It has a slow intro. Builds using a chunky riff with seamless guitar soaring over the top it and then proceeds to melt your face with a sound very reminiscent to a bestial cross of Testament and Pantera. On this song the twin vocals once again shine launching into the unforgettable hook “LETS TAKE IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL”

Overall, “Collision Process EP” is a strong debut with water tight musicianship. This is damn fine potential waiting to be unleashed on an unsuspecting world.
