So Sorry is a four-track digital-single that includes a duet with Foretaste vocalist Creature XX with the single itself featured here in two-versions, an Alternative version and Oxyde Remix along with a remix of the album-track What If by No | Reaktion and an unreleased track in Stupid Game taken from the sessions for their new, and forthcoming album with the single being the first new-release in just over two-years from this former French-trio, now returning as a solo-act that features front-man JB, hence the title of the afore-mentioned new-album Monophonic with the excellent So Sorry being the first-single taken from the album for what is a strong, solid mid-paced track with neat synths that combine with a wonderful blend of dry and rich vocals from both JB and Creature XX that works perfectly throughout the track which builds well to its chorus with the single itself musically falling somewhere between label mates Celluloide and Neutral Lies with a darker overtone, while there is a similar style and pace to the Oxyde Remix with its slow extended intro building itself into a sturdy mid-pace beat retained though out the track itself, while Stupid Game features a more up-tempo pace against strong solid stuttering rhythms that build and drive well towards its chorus, all though, unfamiliar with the original-version, What If features a bubbly bass set across a bouncy mid-paced beat that builds well into its chorus for what is overall an excellent single that looks promising for the new-album. © DK
