The first thing that stands out to me about this single is the cover art, being a superb piece of black and white photography with excellent use of background lighting and silhouettes. And as I’ve learnt previously, good cover art translates into good music more often then not. But does it hold true here? Actually, it does.

“Nightglory” comes across as a rather rock oriented Europop track, and you really don’t know what direction it’s heading in as it is liable to change in moments. “After Winter MMXI” is an introverted trance track that simmers and crackles away quietly. “Nightglory (Camera Vision)” uses light, subtle instruments to back up strong, emotional, power pop vocals. “I Gave You Wings, I Gave You Death” is a gentle instrumental rising at bigger things and intertwines the synths you’d expect for a summer dance track with well educated and properly motivated strings in the background, making for a relaxing sound, but then trickles into something harsher, something that’s more experimental and left field.
