This is the fourth, and first new-album in five-years from the German Electronic Pop soloist Michel Pohl, and one that follows on from his previous album For A Special Moment, and at that proceeded by the album’s title-track as a single, one of fourteen-tracks featured here that retain the dark, moody Electronic style of previous Wave In Head releases, combing with Pohl’s excellent vocals with the addition of four-tracks sung in German on an album with a somewhat complex selection of songs that will instantly appeal to those with an affection for this style of music, but, also an album that will require repeat listening for it to gradually sink-in. Standing out is the excellent Like I Know Me, complete with a solid bass over a mid-paced rhythm, it builds itself into a strong and more up-tempo chorus, or the rolling mid-paced bass of Gone, which gradually builds and picks-up pace on its chorus, further tracks of note include an occasional light touch of acoustic-guitar over a bouncy mid-paced beat on Dieser Tag, the light easy feel on the equally mid-paced single, and title-track to the solid dense mid-paced rhythms of Was Auch Immer, a track that gradually builds itself up. Further to this, there is the mid-pace and dark overtone of Only In Your Heart, gradually picking-up pace to the slow dark ballad-like As If with its light-bass, synth strings and mild percussive sounds. Beyond this, Lead The World Of Mine features a dark, dense mid-pace with heavy brooding synths, to the hard-edged mid-pace of Against My life, likewise Mir Dir also features a slow mid-pace and dark overtone, a somewhat similar style and pace featured on Neue Hoffnung, the mid-paced Night Train lifts and builds to its chorus as the more up-tempo, and dense crashing rhythm of This Life Is Mine also builds into its chorus, while The Magician features a steady mid-paced beat and solid bass on what is an excellent album with a darker and more mid-paced tone than that of previous releases, but, also one that will require listening long and hard to fully appreciate.
